and is sneaking out just as fast! I had so many summer plans! Remember? Yah. Not so much. I wound up working, which beat me down so much more than I expected. My kids don’t want to do anything. Except when they do, which lasts for maybe an hour. So far we’ve:
- made kites (decorated half off kite kits from Target, which was awesome)
- built a trebuchet
- made paper mache masks
- rainbow loom
- potholder loom (you know what I’m talking about, that weaving thing, with the fabric loops)
- made bracelets
- made keychains
- made chocolate covered bananas
- made banana muffins
- overnight trip to Orlando
- spent way too much screen time on nothing
- read
- painted
- gone bowling
- gone to the park
- gone antiquing
- played hangman
- had more discussions about things than I can remember
- also discussed the BIG UNUSUAL DISNEY TRIP I’m hoping to plan for 2014
- I bet I’m missing things, but all in all, it’s been a pretty quiet summer.
So my summer fun series took a summer nose dive, but it looks like the rest of my summer might be clear, so maybe I’m posting prematurely…
