I have a list a mile long of things I want to and need to get done. Everything from school to scouting, tutoring to tattooing, and a million things in between. How do you find time in the day? Ah, besides not posting to Facebook of course ;)
Today alone I found myself at a parent-teacher meeting (7:50 to 8:20), off to Target to get a bigger bin for the dog food so I can move the dog food into its new home and the ferret food into the dog food container (so said dogs stay out of my stupidly pricey ferret food!), to the pet store to buy the aforementioned dog food (which we ran out of this morning), back up the street to the tutoring facility to price them and see if they were what we needed (they are), and then home. Squeeze in some “real” work (mostly web stuff) and a little bit of online socializing and online protesting (because I’m a twenty-first century digital girl!) and paying of some bills and holy crap it’s time to pick up the kids from school and start the afternoon craziness! I haven’t finished my morning yet!
I swear, some days it’s all I can do to keep my head above water and not fall another few hours behind. I always joked that I could sleep when I’m dead, but in all seriousness, I hope my children appreciate the running around I we do for them collectively. Between time spent sitting at activities, time spent in the pick up line (I pay my bills there!), time spent on the phone taking care of things, almost all of my time is spent for their benefit.
I have a secret though, at least a secret from them. One day they’ll be spending all their time running me around the appointments and activities. I’ll just have to make sure that by the time I can’t drive myself anywhere anymore that I have lots of friends to lunch with and activities to go to!
