Just got in from taking the boys to sparring and decided I needed a smoothie. Then I decided to share the mishmash of ingredients I threw in there as it was tasty. You’re welcome.[recipe_card]
Quick Smoothie Recipe
Equipment
- Blender
Ingredients
- 2 bananas, frozen
- 1/2 peach, frozen
- 8 chunks pineapple, frozen
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup plain greek yogurt
- honey to taste (I used about 1 Tbsp)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 tsp probiotic powder
- plain almond milk
Instructions
- Put all your frozen fruit in the blender.
- Fill about halfway up fruit with almond milk. Keep the milk handy.
- Then add yogurt, protein powder, probiotics, and honey.
- Turn on the blender, and add more milk as needed to blend properly and to the consistency you like. I like to add it until the smoothie forms a vortex on it's own in the pitcher – that's usually a good consistency for me.
- My blender is a VitaMix and I have no idea how a standard blender will handle all that frozen fruit at the bottom. If you have something like an Oster, I'd add the liquid and yogurt first.
Notes
This took me longer to decide what to put in it and clean out the pitcher after than it did to make. But aren’t all smoothies like that?
